First what is discipline?
A simple meaning of discipline is, “the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior.” This word is very much used every time we have our class at school, every time our parents reminds us to obey house rules and a lot more. But how come some people cannot follow simple rules and regulations?
Let’s cite such a very wonderful yet super simple example of discipline.
These two Japanese we’re in the Philippines. They are about to cross the street. But they are really patiently waiting for the traffic light to turn green. While on the other hand you can also see on the photo that there are Filipinos crossing the street. In this case you can see how disciplined Japanese are. Maybe this is how they were also in their country but it is also sad to see fellow Filipinos do not follow simple traffic light rules.
On the other hand, the traffic light on this area was found malfunctioning but the awareness brought by this photo should not be taken for granted. This photo is an eye opener to help us spread the word to alarm the appropriate authorities to get this problem fixed as soon as possible and at the same time this post is intended to exemplify discipline and abidance to laws and regulations.
Discipline is a way of life. Always remember that the most successful people in life exert discipline on a daily basis. May this be a lesson to each and everyone of us. May we always remember the word “DISCIPLINE” wherever we go and whatever we do.
