If you know someone who is 10 year old, what is that boy or probably doing? Most of them are just playing, having fun and spending their allowance or monetary gifts as much as they want. But this boy from Hubei, China prove that he can do give his mother diamond ring.
This 10 year old boy made headlines when he used all the monetary gifts he received over Chinese New Year to buy a diamond ring for his mother.
The young boy saved more than 8,800 yuan (US$1,200) over the recent Chinese New Year and bought a ring for his mother. I guess not all 10 year old kids will think about it this way but this young man is an exception.
“He said he wanted to buy a diamond ring after seeing his classmates’ mothers all wear diamond rings,” an employee at the jewelry counter said. It was also told that The boy had pulled his mother into the jewelry store at a shopping mall in Tiananmen in central China’s Hubei province to let his mother browse through the diamond ring of her choice.
The said diamond ring worth 8,100 yuan (US$1,197). It is around 62,423.55 here in Philippine Peso and yes this is a big money. Yet the boy did not mind instead he really bough it for his mother.
The mother who thought that her son was only joking at first tried to leave the jewelry store. This action of her later led to the boy to burst into tears as he is later seen hugging his mother and sobbing.
According to the son she wants to buy his mom a diamond ring because he don’t want her mom to feel left out as all of his classmates’ mothers often wore expensive and sparkly diamond rings.
Yet on the other hand the mother got the chance to think of a different tactic for his son not to buy him a ring. She points into a ring that costs 50,000 yuan (US$7,455) and says that she prefers the much more expensive diamond ring.
On the last part, the employee who overheard their conversation said: “Mom likes this one. You can save more money and buy this one for me later”.
