Sikat na Mukbang Vlogger, Nagbawas ng 99 Pounds; Ikinagulat ng marami

Popular Korean Mukbang Vlogger Loses 99 Pounds; Wows Netizens

It isn’t easy to lose weight especially when most jobs nowadays are done at home, in front of the computer. Desk jobs can be physically easier, but the long term effects on the body can be fatally dangerous. According to studies, Sitting for long periods can lead to weakening and wasting away of the large leg and gluteal muscles. Sitting or lying down for too long increases your risk of  chronic health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes and some cancers. Too much sitting can also be bad for your mental health. For many people who work like this, it is definitely harder to lose weight as well. Sitting down for hours and not having any physical activity can be damaging to their posture as well.

One job that can be extremely dangerous for the body is “Mukbang”. People who do mukbang go live while eating appetizing food in large amounts. “Mukbang”, also spelled meokbang, came from Korea, where all the fad started. Apparently, people who want to lose weight would just watch mukbang, and feel “full” just by watching. Unfortunately for the vloggers, they have to lose the weight they gain on their own. It is hard since they eat a lot, meaning they need to burn more.

Dietician Theresa Kinsella told The New York Times, “The short-term health risks are physical discomfort, gastrointestinal distress, lethargy and fatigue.” She added that, in the long-term, mukbangers may see weight gain, heart disease, and diabetes.”

However, there are a lot of Korean mukbang vloggers who maintain a fit body, but their workout regime is no joke. Imagine eating dozens of pounds of food a day and then having to burn it, just to eat more the following day? This is one reason why this mukbang vlogger’s transformation not only wowed netizens, but shocked many fans as well. How was this possible?
