#SHOPEESCAM this is the hashtag being used by the FILIPINO BLINKS or the BLACK PINK fans. Shopee Philippines is the official sponsor of Black Pink’s fan meets in the Philippines. Yet the happy faces for most of the fans turned into so much disappointment as Shopee allegedly secured tickets for many influencers and celebrities who they suspect of having zero knowledge about BlackPink and Kpop in general.
Black Pink is a very famous K-Pop group not just in their country but also here in the Philippines. They are even famous in other Asian countries and American countries. They released many trending songs worldwide and indeed many Filipinos love their songs.
Being said, Shopee was said to scrap a big portion of the privilege many fans might get especially to those who have exerted efforts and paid a lot. Many also thought that it is invalidating Filipino Blink’s right as a fan.
But it doesn’t stop from there as Shopee’s recent fan meet required top 40 spenders who’ll be able to meet Black Pink as a prize. So many BLINKs did spend a lot just for this. But according to them, on the day of announcing the winner, Shopee just changed the mechanics and instead of giving it to the most spenders they just gave tickets randomly.
It was said that they earned more or less than PHP 2.5 Million from Blink’s alone. Fans also became suspicious as the new winners from their Twitter contest are allegedly trolls and some are newly made accounts.
Below are the tweets of the Filipino BLINK for the said #SHOPEESCAM,
Filipino Blinks’ tweets are all over Twitter and they are disappointed by the way Shopee did distribute their tickets.
Because of the trending issue about Shopee. They tweet and apologized to its users and fans of BLACKPINK.
“We hear your feedback loud and clear, and we understand that the event fell short of the high standards that Shopee users and BLACKPINK fans expect.”
